Waveform Transmitter has the exclusive on Marco Simioni's rework of 'Tart', the track that opens Ficture's account with EC Underground. Six remixers were brought in for the package. It lands on 6 November 2026.
Marco Simioni has been releasing through Detroit Underground since 2020, starting with 'Spaziale Flux' alongside Syntax Erika. 'Phaneron EP' came next, then the paired 'F.O.M.O.' and 'JOMO'.
Away from that imprint he has records on Mid/Side Records, Kaer'Uiks and Fear of Silence, plus a Mille Plateaux release made with Mattia Saviolo. He moved to London from Padova in 2016 and works there as a mixing and mastering engineer.
The remix is not a one-off for the label. Marco Simioni's own album '¥¥¥¥¥' is on pre-order already, due on 4 December 2026. It will be his first physical release through EC Underground. Record shop Juno has the CD at £9.75 at the time of writing. The pressing runs to 100 copies.
Gábor Tokár has been working under the Ficture name for over a decade. 'Roads To Everywhere' arrived on Lemongrassmusic in 2014. 'Filled Spaces' followed on Audiobulb Records, and Igloo Magazine put it on its best of 2018 list. A European tour of fifteen dates came off the back of that record. He plays drums and session for Hungarian alternative acts on top of the solo work, and management company Corner Art Management has had him on the books since 2024.
'Tart' is the lead single from 'Grudge Against Beauty', an audio-visual album due in spring 2027. Márton Gerencsér built the video that runs with the original mix, animating 3D point clouds of real places so they react to the audio
EC Underground has been going since 2018, running as a label, a collective and an agency out of South Florida, with an ambient offshoot called EQ. We have been here before. Gliesse gave us the world premiere of 'CEERS' off his 'Lost Data' album, then recorded Waveform Sessions #8 for us.
Roel Funcken did the same with '4ehmth', taken from 'Kine 3'. Waveform Sessions #23 followed. Roel Funcken is on this remix package too, next to Yaporigami, Grosso Gadgetto, Ivan Shopov and Serge Geyzel.

'Tart (Single & Remixes)' is on pre-order at Bandcamp now, half price and exclusive there for a month before it reaches anywhere else. Clamp onto it while that lasts.
