Molecular Recordings has been putting out techno from London since 1994, and the Structure Series began as its thirtieth anniversary project, a run of vinyl compilations drawn from across its roster. '
Structure Series 3' is the third of them, six producers on a 12-inch with a digital release alongside, and it comes from a label we keep returning to, including with Ma Haiping's 'Velocity Unlocked'.
Four of the six have already had EPs in Molecular's XX series. NØNE, the Italian duo who started out at illegal parties at the end of the nineties, are regulars there, and we reviewed their 'XX 29'. Mal_Hombre, a Glasgow-born producer now based in Leeds, has one too, as do Spain's Linear Phase, an audio engineer by background with more than twenty years in music, and Hugo Rolan, whose catalogue already took in Jeff Mills' Axis and Oscar Mulero's Warm Up.
The other two widen the net. Danilo Vigorito, from Naples, has been DJing since 1991 and worked as a studio sound engineer before his own records started coming out through Primate Recordings and Zenit, while Philippe Petit, whose 'United EP' on Symbolism we covered, rounds out the line-up.
