Happy Wednesday, wonderful Transmitees. Six in the digest this week, and the map is doing some work: Amsterdam, Valencia, Utrecht and São Paulo, with Koloah filing from Berlin by way of Kyiv.

stay vaag won a competition with her debut track, death by dagger signed it and put it out properly, and she has been on the label ever since. Koloah arrived through film rather than clubs and runs three separate names to keep up with himself. Subsist have gone back through their own catalogue and pulled the dub end of it into one place, ten tracks deep. The other three you can find on your own way down.

Title: 'Everyone On Acid Volume 11'
Label: Everyone On Acid

'Everyone On Acid Volume 11' is eleven tracks from eleven acts, out since 26 June on the Amsterdam label of the same name. Kegffnayy has been running it since 2018 and opens this one himself with 'It’s Alive!'.

The rest of the running order takes in Fiene, Okitap, Keykey, JØASE, Daidu, BONDE, SIGGY LOU with Artcode, TWANK with mp3_mirco, and AKONA, who closes on 'Break It Off'. Two of the eleven are collaborations, which is a reasonable hit rate for a series that seems to treat itself as a standing invitation rather than a fixed roster.

One name will be familiar. Naiborg turns up at track ten with 'Dance Floor 303', and we had her 'BORA-BORA' EP on Computer Controlled Records in for review back in April.

Title: 'Subsist Dub Vol.1'
Label: Subsist

'Subsist Dub Vol.1' is a ten track compilation out since 17 July as SUBSIST.286D, and it looks backwards rather than forwards. Every track on it has been out before, the oldest from 2012 and the newest from 2018, gathered up by label boss Fon into a set built entirely around the dub end of what the imprint has released.

Fon is Alfonso D. Civantos, born in Pontevedra in Galicia and based in Valencia since the late nineties, where he runs Subsist as its artistic director. Before the label he founded Komakino, a collective of artists and promoters that built much of the electronic music scene in the city alongside the established commercial clubs.

Subsist is now past 280 releases, with the more experimental Faith Disciplines running beside it. We have been here twice lately: Pont’s debut album 'Existence Gateway' landed four catalogue numbers before this one, and we world premiered Daher’s 'Surge' from his 'The Pulse Between Two Silences' album on the label.

The ten are drawn from Dialect, Triames, Dijuma, Moments of Totality, Voidloss, Dib, Corvum, Mike Nylons, Vakat and E110, who closes things out with '00946'. At nearly thirteen minutes it is comfortably the longest thing here.

Title: 'Breathe'
Label: death by dagger

‘Breathe’ is the latest single from stay vaag on death by dagger, out on 31 July. She wrote, produced and mixed it herself; underground in its truest sense!

stay vaag is a DJ and producer based in Utrecht. She first broke through at the end of 2024, winning ADE Lab's Demolition competition with her debut track ‘Let Me Go’, which death by dagger then signed and put out properly in February 2025.

Two more singles followed on the label, ‘deep talk’ in August and ‘I'M NOT THINKING BOUT YOU’ in September, and she was picked for Music Hub Centraal's E-Lab Track, a regional development programme for solo electronic producers that launched that same year. She has since played rooms including KABUL à GoGo, Beton-T and Stranded FM.

death by dagger is the Utrecht label and visual art collective behind all of it, run as much for the artwork as for the records. It put out its first EP in autumn 2022 and made things official with a launch night at ACU the following February, when Thomas Hell became its first signed artist. Waveform Transmitter covered the label’s Skalman outing, 'STATIC / RUSH', back in August.

Title: 'Interspacial Nation'

Nuta Cookier is back on Future Scope Recordings with ‘Interspacial Nation’, a two tracker landing as FS345 on 31 July, backed with ‘Raw Galaxy’. The São Paulo producer, DJ and live act has been working in electronic music for well over a decade, picking up a DJ Sound Awards nomination along the way and playing everywhere from the Brazil edition of Privilege Ibiza’s world tour to Caprice Festival in Switzerland and Mondo Paradiso in Spain.

'Interspacial Nation' is the latest in a long run of acid techno releases Cookier has put out through Future Scope, following EPs including 'Zyon Acid', 'Orion Conference' and 'Acid to Rhythm'. The release's own write up describes it as blending "energetic acid grooves with futuristic atmospheres," continuing what has become known as Cookier's cosmic techno sound across a catalogue built for Future Scope, the São Paulo label known for its house, techno, acid and trance output.

Away from the studio, Cookier hosts a regular show on FNOOB Techno and streams sets across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook between dates. Asked about his process, Cookier keeps it simple: "First of all, I need to be in good energy and have a good spiritual connection."

Artist: Koloah
Title: 'You Can Get Me'
Label: MUSAR Recordings

‘You Can Get Me’ is Koloah’s first record for MUSAR Recordings, out on 5 June as MUSAR022, on digital and a 12 inch pressed to 200 copies. Three of his own tracks sit alongside a remix of the title cut by Binary Digit, the Grenoble producer who runs Postal Code Records and has previously turned up on Opal Tapes.

Behind the name is Dmytro Avksentiev, who spent the best part of a decade at the centre of the Kyiv scene before relocating to Berlin. He is not short of outlets. He also records as Voin Oruwu and as Tropical Echobird, and in 2019 he started Salon Imaginalis as a home for records that refuse to sit still in one genre. He came up through film rather than clubs, with a directing background and continuing work alongside filmmakers and visual artists, and he has held an artist residency at Q21 in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier.

MUSAR is Dweedo’s label, run out of Amsterdam, with Annie Hall, San Proper, Nightwave and Ricardo Tobar among the names in its catalogue. The EP runs ‘You Can Get Me’, ‘Get Me Close’, the Binary Digit remix, and closer ‘Liminal Forest’. On what he is chasing, Koloah keeps it short: “Atmosphere is the core of all my music and what I pay the most attention to.”

Artist: The Liquid Dude
Title: ‘Artificial Ignorance’
Label: Liquid Freaks

The Liquid Dude has been at this for decades, working across acid, breaks, electro and machine funk, and he is not on his first identity. As GVK he put out a track called ‘Warmwest’ back in 2012, made while he was living in LA, a long way from where he has ended up.

That restlessness carries through into Liquid Freaks, the label and creative collective he runs alongside his own productions. He started it so he could work outside industry standards and trends, and has built it into more of a creative hub than a conventional imprint, one that pulls in ambient and classical musicians, visual artists and independent clubs alongside straight up electronic producers.

His new EP, ‘Artificial Ignorance’, runs to six tracks and lands on Liquid Freaks. It follows his debut album, which arrived last year.

The Liquid Dude has said the tracks were built as tools for the dancefloor first and foremost, tested out in his own sets before release, and that the title is a dig at how flat creativity can get when there’s this much technology on tap. The EP runs ‘Artificial Ignorance’ and a second version of the title track, then ‘Cheesy Gangster’, ‘Sausage Lips’ and ‘Very Tight’, closing out with ‘Famara’, a collaboration with Stansee.
