NAIBORG (what a name, by the way) has absolutely delivered with the Bora Bora EP on Computer Controlled. This is four tracks of relentless, high-grade acid, and we are completely obsessed with it.
Korot7b, named after a particularly volatile planet in the distant universe, perfectly captures the sensation of being space-bound. The 303 line pulses with a cosmic energy, while the drum programming accelerates the listener through flashes of discordant percussion and sharp synth melodies.
Then there’s Atlantida, which delivers the kind of unadulterated chaos that makes a dancefloor go completely apeshit. It’s a total snarler with a heavy dose of 90s techno nostalgia running through its veins.
The tempo drops slightly for the title track, Bora Bora, but the intensity is still through the roof. It’s a physical track that commands a reaction, built around a sublime acid line and those swirling, "nightmare-circus" synth hooks.
To finish, Devon doesn't pull any punches. A distorted kick hacks away at your shins while an equally gritty bassline ushers in a blistering 303 melody.
BORA-BORA is utterly brilliant from start to finish. You know the drill—head over to Bandcamp to secure this one.
