FRIEND OF MINE is Gold Coast born and bred, and works as a UKG DJ and producer. 'Good Thing' and 'Sick' are up on his triple j Unearthed page, his DJ dates take in Homebass UK, Taste Club and Things in Motion, and he has opened for Osmosis Jones, Prizefight, Isgwan and Conducta.

The same page lists production support from DJ EZ, Bushbaby and Skeptic, which is a decent shelf of names for a producer this early on. Bushbaby is Harry Bushby, out of Brighton, one of the first artists signed to Southpoint when that label started up in 2015, and he has an album of his own in 'In Two Worlds'.

Conducta is worth a line of his own. The Bristol producer started Kiwi Rekords in 2019 and handed early records to Sammy Virji, Sharda and Jack Junior, picked up Breakthrough Label at DJ Mag's Best Of British awards, and then wound the label up after five years. Warming up for him is a fair marker for a garage DJ working out of Queensland.

On '2THABEAT' he teams up with Goyma for Passion Records, on a UKG single rooted in the speed garage of the late nineties and early 2000s. It comes as an original mix and an extended mix.
