Rhythm Section International has earned its standing on Bradley Zero’s knack for backing the right artist at the right time, across a catalogue that takes in Session Victim, Stones Taro, and Sam Goku among many more.

Asa Tate, who also records as Tech Support UK, already has history with the label; Traffic and Replica both landed there previously, and his remix of Tronik Youth surfaced over on Nein Records. Andromeda is his latest for the imprint, filed as RS071.

The EP launches with Traffic; a solid breakbeat laying the foundations for an opener with real UKG flex. The production is fairly minimal, which gives all of its elements space to breathe without vying for the limelight, setting a sleek, moody tone for the EP.

The title track Andromeda takes things into distinctly techier terrain, complete with a divine acid line that will have any fan of the little silver box reaching for the volume controls.

Echotex is Chicago through and through. The ‘Freak Mix’ combines a solid house beat with another healthy dose of 303, alongside a smorgasbord of synthesised sonics to deliver an absolute ass-shaker. The ‘Dub Mix’ offers a stripped back version of the track for perfect set-building action.
