A nice quirk to start with. The forthcoming COD3 QR release lands in two separate editions, each with its own catalogue number: a digital version, [QR]D.205.DTON.26, and a vinyl version, [QR]V.205.DTON.26. The same artists feature across both, in the same order, with each one having produced a distinct track for each edition. Two records, one line-up, no overlap.
Electric Rescue is our premiere from the digital edition, and few names carry more weight in French techno. Antoine Husson has been at it for the best part of three decades, running his Skryptöm imprint past the sixty-release mark while sending his own productions out on Soma, Cocoon, BNR, Bedrock, and Ilario Alicante’s Virgo.
It runs in the family, too; his brother is fellow producer Maxime Dangles, who features on the full Electric Rescue album due on COD3 QR later this year. Ahead of that comes Stellar Ship, arriving on a label these pages know well from premieres by ProOne79 and Steve Bug and Josh Wink.
