This week's First Contact exclusive world premiere comes courtesy of Italian producer Gioele Cantoni, operating as ProOne79. We first featured his work back in issue #6, where the Black Jack EP (a collaboration with MAGNVM! on Rekids) took our EP of the Week honours.

He has since appeared on Laurent Garnier, Oliver Way, and Scan X's COD3 QR imprint on the compilation release [QR]D.115.TLN.25 with Lysergic; a label whose roster reads like a who's who of the underground, with previous releases featuring the likes of Dany Rodriguez, Deetron, Marco Bailey, and our very own Waveform Sessions #4 guest K’ Alexi Shelby.

You Can't Feel Lonely With A 303 is the latest chapter; his second appearance on COD3 QR as a solo artist, landing as part of release [QR]D.142.SSAS.26 on May 22nd 2026. As you might expect, this one has more than its fair share of that ubiquitous squelch we’re all so fond of.

The track boasts a delightfully glutinous 303 bassline, sealing the deal at the bottom end alongside a solid 4/4 kick. Top-end percussion loads the track with funk, while a soulful vocal refrain keeps a keen Detroit vibe going for days.
