Artist: Dompe
Title: 'Funk Yourself'
Label: Jackfruit Recordings

Jackfruit Recordings has reached its hundredth record, and it has given the number to Dompe. The catalogue number is JACKFRUIT100, which is the one occasion a number on a sleeve is worth printing.

What makes it worth noting is who made the other ninety nine. By the label's own account every release it has ever put out was created by Dompe himself, which is a rarer way to run a hundred records than it sounds. Most labels at this point are a roster. This one has been a desk.

That is not to say nobody else gets in. The recent catalogue carries Tigerskin, DJ Chi, Maltitz, Kaldera and Felidae, and one release puts Robert Owens alongside Mz Sunday Luv and Aaron Hedges. There is a second strand too, Jackfruit Traxx, running beside the main line.

We last had the label through here when Jakob Mäder gave us 'Arrived' as a premiere.

Out now. Go and get it from Jackfruit before Dompe adds a few hundred more to the catalog.
