This issue of Ignition Sequence is brought to you in partnership with BC Releases: New Bandcamp Releases in One Playlist
Ignition Sequence runs the same way every time. We hand a guest artist the countdown, they pick five records, and they tell you what every one of them is for. A fully artist-curated feature bringing you closer to the underground artists you love.
Alexa Way took issue nine. Filtrack is at the top of her list, and he has been up there before, because Lst.ss put him at number one too. Blenk is in it as well, on Dustin Zahn's Enemy Records.
Anyway, commencing countdown…
Ignition Sequence #9: Alexa Way…

Alexa Way came to this when she was 25. The festival scene got hold of her, and Kappa FuturFestival is the one she points to. Ukrainian, living in Italy, and Turin is where she plays (and calls home).
She produces as well, with her own tracks going up through 2026, and there is a PODCAST mix series on the side. Her own description of what she plays is a simple mantra: "I play my sets with hard groove energy."
She is on Instagram, and the mixes are up on SoundCloud.
Here are Alexa Way's five. Enjoy!
BC Releases: New Bandcamp Releases in One Playlist

All of your new releases in one place.
Bandcamp sends an email for every new release from the artists and labels you follow, which can be overwhelming…
Bas Dobbelaer built a free web app that pulls those new releases into a single playlist. You can listen through everything that came out without opening one email or tab at a time. Waveforms, BPM, and key are included for every track as well.
Label what’s worth buying as you listen, and come back to your picks when you’re ready to support the artists.
Your data is saved in your browser: imports, triage choices and listening progress are all stored locally, so there’s no account needed.
Number 5: turan. 'Bass In My Chest'
turan. had a run of records through 2025, on The Acid Mind Recordings, ECOUL SND and Diffuse Reality Records in Portugal. Jeton Records have had the name on a compilation since. This one sits on BCCOVA20, which BCCO put out in July 2026, and Techno Germany premiered it.
Alexa Way: "This track makes my mind completely relax, and I just drift into a state of euphoria. It's so light and effortless, yet still incredibly groovy. I love playing 'Bass In My Chest' at the beginning of my set to warm up the crowd."
BCCO have the full compilation up on Bandcamp.
Number 4: Blenk 'Forward'
Blenk keeps going back to Enemy Records, the Berlin label Dustin Zahn runs. 'Forward' comes off 'Fragments of Vision', one of three he has put out there, and 'Breaking The Loop' landed on vinyl in 2025. He works out of Montpellier, with remixes for Uncage and On Edge Society behind him.
Alexa Way: "It has so many industrial sounds that pull me into this hypnotic state, which is exactly why I love this track. 'Forward' is a great choice for the middle of the set, when the crowd is already warmed up and ready for a stronger groove. It definitely won't leave anyone indifferent."
Clamp onto 'Fragments of Vision' over at Enemy Records.
Number 3: CucaRafa 'Cocaine Hoes'
CucaRafa got 'Digging It' onto Nervous Records in 2024, and Suara have had him on a compilation too. He started out in Lisbon and lives in Amsterdam now. 'Cocaine Hoes' comes off 'Esquerda, Direita', which the Stuttgart label Safe Space put out the same year. They bill themselves as "a safe space from house to techno since 2022".
Alexa Way: "Whenever I listen to it, I feel happy and just want to dance. 'Cocaine Hoes' is a techno track with a house vibe, which makes it really groovy and I'd even say, fun. It's also a track to play in the middle of a set, as it adds something special and really enhances the flow."
Safe Space are holding 'Esquerda, Direita' for you.
Number 2: Ocirala 'Track for NIX'
Ocirala is an alias with nobody's name attached to it. The published biography has them leaving London for Guernsey at 18 to study ornithology, and cataloguing the island's birds once they got there. NIX is home: 'Track for NIX' comes off 'I Want To Lick Your Brains EP', which Árni E. Guðmundsson's Reykjavik label put out in May 2023, and there has been another one there since. Neighbourhood have had a record off them too, and DJ Mag handed them a premiere.
Alexa Way: "This track feels really sexy to me. It captures exactly what sexy hard groove sounds like in my mind. 'Track for NIX' is perfect for closing a set because it's so groovy, and its energy brings out something primal in the crowd, making people let go of their inhibitions and lose themselves in the music."
The EP is yours from NIX.
Number 1: Filtrack 'Dungeon Type Beat'
Second time at the top for Filtrack, because Lst.ss had him at number one in Ignition Sequence #3 as well. Unrilis, Analytic Trail and Tronic have all hosted him, which is a solid raft of underground labels to hop around. 'Dungeon Type Beat' is on 'Kernel EP', a various artists twelve the Paris label Molekül pressed in September 2025. He turns up on BCCOVA20 as well, the same compilation as her number five.
Alexa Way: "This track just makes you want to move faster and faster, with the groove building all the way through. I love it because it won't let you stand on the sidelines, you can't help but move with it. It's great for closing a set and taking the crowd to the peak of the experience. I love playing it as the very last track."
The 'Kernel' twelve is at Molekül.
That's the five
Thanks to Alexa Way for the five, and for building the thing like a set rather than a list. Every pick here has a job and a slot, from the warm up through to the last record of the night.
The next Ignition Sequence comes from Reset Robot.
