Cover card for ABSOLUTE.'s 'Bleep Out' on Hot Haus Recs, showing the sleeve art of acid yellow, hot pink and black collage panels.

ABSOLUTE. gets around the labels. Skint had him in Brighton, Tiga took 'Harmony' for Twin Turbo, and Shall Not Fade has put him out since. Maximum Airtime released his 'Garage Queen EP', with a Shaun J. Wright remix on the back. Mixmag have had him on the cover.

He remixed Kylie Minogue's 'Padam Padam' in 2023, and Annie Mac dropped it into her live Essential Mix at Glastonbury. None of that came from nowhere, mind. He was a fixture in London's queer underground long before the international bookings, and the clubs Egg and Motion, plus the HE.SHE.THEY parties, are still where he turns up most. His Bandcamp carries a standing pledge too: every sale he takes during Pride month goes to Black trans initiatives.

'Bleep Out' runs to three tracks and puts him back on Hot Haus Recs, the house label DJ Haus runs under his Unknown To The Unknown banner. UTTU started life as a YouTube channel before it pressed a single record.

We open with a dirty little UKG heater, title track ‘Bleep Out’, which absolutely delivers on that front. Pulsing bass synths cushion the absolutely disgraceful top end synth that oscillates and stutters wildly before breaking out into separate lines. Owwwwww, the second half is like a Stylophone on its first ecstasy!

We go ‘Into The Night’ next, which brings the mood to a… moodier place. Late night in the club as you might expect. Wait for that growling bassline to break out into a proper bumper underneath building crescendos of organ and synth. The second breakdown is a shoulder roller if ever there was one.

‘Show Me’ closes with its dark, dubby undertones (get onto that dub siren chirping every so often). This is our favourite track on the EP. Belter of a ‘DJ’s breakdown’ slapped in the middle in case you wanna drop another warper in, but the second drop warrants your full attention and probably a rewind as well. Fuck yes.
