This one has been kicking about for fourteen years. 'Had No Sleep' first appeared on 'A Product Of Your Environment', Yousef's second album for Circus Recordings, with Tom Crew on the vocal. That was 2012. It has never had a release of its own, and Yousef says it took Bontan and Mele telling him to get it out before he finally remastered it.

He has run the Circus club night (we’ve been there too, lots!) in Liverpool since 2002. The Circus Recordings label followed in 2009, and ROLBAC made his debut on it in 2026. Circus was picked for the government's pilot event scheme in 2021, so it ran some of the first legal club nights in the country after lockdown.

Now, if there are any Talking Heads fans out there, you might be just as switched on to this track as a house fan would be. On the one hand you’ve got Yousef’s brand of house (as it was 14 years ago, albeit with some 2026 polish), an insistent percussive pattern injecting energy into those Chi-town organ stabs.

On the other hand you have the comedown-heralding vocal supplied by Tom Crew, who comes off as really quite Byrne-ish in his delivery. This lends the production a certain psychedelic verve, putting this track on a wide range of dancefloors.
