Welcome back to the transmission, and a massive thank you right off the bat. We've just smashed past the 150-subscriber mark, and the community is growing every single day.
Hitting that milestone is huge for us in such a short space of time, so let's set a new target. Can we push it to 250 by this time next week? Spread the word and get your mates involved.
A special shoutout is fully owed to the Subsurface Selections posse for recommending our newsletter to their readers. If you haven't already, do yourselves a favour; go and subscribe to them. They are proper bass heads delivering top-tier curation.
As for this week’s issue, we are absolutely loaded with heat. We’ve got a fresh stack of essential house and techno reviews to get stuck into, plus that strictly exclusive Waveform Sessions #3 guest mix from Pascal Hetzel we promised you last week.
On top of all that, we’re serving up not one but TWO world premieres this week! To celebrate leaping past 150 subscribers, we’ve grabbed an early look at a superbly wonky remix straight from the Bulletdodge camp, and a mutated electro production fresh from EC Underground.
As we get into a more regular swagger with the Waveform Sessions and the First Contact exclusive premieres, we’re going to move the Signal Hardware and Data Packets sections to the Waveform Transmitter website, and keep the newsletter focused purely on the underground music. We’ll still have news and hardware recommendations, and we can be more in-depth with them as a result.
Anyway, crack your headphones out and let’s get into the sound.
This Broadcast…

Our exclusive First Contact premiere DOUBLE HEADER this week comes in the form of a wonky AF Matthew Herbert remix of Renwartherger’s Random and some killer electro courtesy of Gliesse.
Pascal Hetzel drops this week’s exclusive DJ mix in Waveform Sessions.
We have new music of the week from Dompe, Seddig, and an Arkham Audio compilation in Peak Oscillations.
First Contact
We have TWO exciting world exclusives this week, as legendary producer Matthew Herbert steps up to the plate first, delivering a brilliantly eccentric take on Renwartherger’s Random.
Originally surfaced on the production duo's 2025 Faint Residue EP, the source material leaned heavily into a jazz-flecked, funk-driven aesthetic. Herbert completely reconfigures that DNA, sculpting an altogether housier sway that feels equally as unhinged as the original.
Retaining the experimental, leftfield ethos of the source material, this Jimmi Dub variation strips the track back to a minimal, more rigid rhythm. It is a masterful reshape that perfectly sets a quirky, late-night tone for the rest of the remix package to follow.
Our exclusive premiere leads the charge for the upcoming Renwartherger Remixed EP on Bulletdodge Records , officially dropping on April 17th. The track serves as the opening statement for a fantastic release, backed by further stellar reworks from Auntie Flo, Tribu Oro, Naum Gabo, and Phelan Kane.
Go and pre-order it on Bandcamp now! In the meantime, listen via the read online button.
Our… erm… second First Contact exclusive premiere comes courtesy of Moscow-based sound engineer Ilya Chunakov. Operating under his Gliesse alias, he steps into the spotlight to deliver an expertly crafted slice of sci-fi modular electro.
Lifted from his forthcoming Lost Data LP on the awesome EC Underground label, we are premiering the original mix of CEERS; an exhilarating, deeply atmospheric electro production that fully embraces a dark, interstellar aesthetic.
Driven by uptempo, surgical electro breaks, the track unfurls across seven minutes, evoking the distinct sensation of a high-speed journey through a distant, red-shift galaxy.
The production is incredibly tight and meticulously engineered; complex synths chirp and sequence like the control panel of a futuristic craft, casting a dark, cinematic shadow over a menacing low-end.
Rather than just being a heady headphone trip, the track possesses a raw, cybernetic energy. it is the exact kind of driving electro that forces a dancefloor into wild convulsions.
CEERS is a massive standout from the eight-track Lost Data collection, which also features distinct reinterpretations from Syrte, Paul Begge, and Serge Geyzel. The full release drops digitally on May 29th, 2026. You can pre-order it at Bandcamp.
Waveform Sessions #3: Pascal Hetzel
Berlin-based powerhouse Pascal Hetzel steps up to the controls for this week's Waveform Sessions, delivering just over an hour of scintillating, high-velocity techno.
This exclusive guest mix lands straight off the back of our recent world premiere of his track Pressure Seal. You’ll also find the production in Pascal’s mix, blended perfectly with Marco Bailey and Fixon tracks either side.
The razor-sharp Pressure Seal is lifted from the milestone Arkham Audio - Six Years Various compilation, which is officially out now and also features heavyweight contributions from fellow techno mainstays like Alexander Kowalski and Steve Redhead. Go on.. fill your ears with it…
Single of the Week: Dompe Tronic

Still simmering following the release of his Reload EP on Definitive, Dompe makes a welcome return to his own Jackfruit Recordings imprint with a double-header dripping in classic house flavour. Known for consistently delivering feel-good, highly infectious grooves, these two cuts show the producer in excellent form.
The title track sets the pace immediately. Tronic radiates summertime heat from the very first beat, built around a kinetic, hip-shifting, percussive backbone of claves and woodblocks. Layered over a foundation of traditional kicks and hats, the track introduces a classic house horn stab and a soulful spoken vocal snippet that guarantees dancefloor momentum.
On the flip, Magic Mirror maintains that same tangible energy. Driven by an irresistible house swagger, the track leads with sharp piano chord stabs that eventually break out into a looping, hypnotic refrain, perfectly paired with a classic “house… my house” vocal sample. Try keeping still while you listen. IMPOSSIBLE.
Tronic is available now—head over to Bandcamp to bag it for your library. Listen here below or via the read online button.
EP of the Week: Seddig Katharsis EP

As if the German capital hadn't featured heavily enough in this edition, Berlin-based producer Seddig returns to Ben Sims’ consistently excellent Symbolism imprint with a massive five-track collection.
Cutting his teeth under Ableton co-creator Robert Henke, Seddig has carved out a serious reputation for his cerebral, meticulously detailed brand of techno, which has previously seen him also land releases on the likes of Hardgroove.
The title track opens proceedings with a genuine sense of its nomenclature. Katharsis evolves with measured precision, building from syncopated, echoing zaps into an entrancing, peak-time workout that slowly tightens the sonic tension like a thumbscrew across its run time.
If the opener is an exercise in building pressure, Unfazed provides the masterful release. Stripping things back to a minimal rhythmic skeleton and synthetic crackles, the track carries a sonar-like pulse through its opening minute before slowly unfurling into a dense, loopy crescendo of saturated static and distortion.

Turbulence lives up to its title next, shifting the EP into far more aggressive, disjointed territory. Cacophonous layers stack rapidly, pierced by chaotic, off-key acid screeches that genuinely gouge through the track's outer membrane. It is a punishing, jagged workout that represents exactly what the word "techno" was invented to describe.
Stealing the crown as our favourite track on the release, Sixstep drops you squarely into the middle of a sweltering, subterranean space. It possesses an immediate, physical energy, bouncing strobe-like sonic shrapnel off every surface before fracturing into an absolute maelstrom of raw power around the two-minute mark.
Finally, Prism closes the lid on the package. Acting much like its namesake refracting light through glass, the track splits its core components out across a broad sonic spectrum. It is a brilliant piece of sound design that scatters frequencies while retaining a deep, driving cohesion, bringing the collection to a perfectly rounded close.
You know what you’re doing. Correct… go and get it on BANDCAMP. You can listen here first below or via the read online button.
Album of the Week: Various Artists Arkham Audio Six Years Various

Six years deep into its journey, Belgian imprint Arkham Audio marks its anniversary with a bounteous celebratory compilation. Curated by label head Cri Du Coeur, Arkham Audio 6 Years Various pulls together brand-new, exclusive material from the imprint's extended family.
Refusing to chase fleeting trends, the label has cultivated a fiercely reliable identity built on powerful, driving techno, and this compilation perfectly captures that balance of intensity and precision.
Rather than walking through the tracklist chronologically, it is best to unpack this formidable release by its sonic utility. When it comes to raw dancefloor energy, the compilation does not hold back.
Label boss Cri Du Coeur steps up with Cyanure, an undeniable Waveform favourite. It is a big-room monster where a gradually rising synth morphs into a snarling beast, eventually giving way to sweeping strings that carry a distinct Knights of the Jaguar grandeur.

We’ve already raved about Pascal Hetzel’s high-energy Pressure Seal, which sits perfectly alongside Insolate’s Worship The Groove; a fast, frenetic, and delightfully loopy cut that utilizes a repeating vocal sample to push set tension through the roof.
Non Reversible rounds out the peak-time arsenal with Ricochet, a discombobulating railroader that behaves exactly as its title suggests, bouncing samples around the stereo field while relentless synths propel everything forward like an auditory locomotive.
Drawing the energy down into a deeper, more atmospheric clutch of productions, Alexander Kowalski opens the compilation with Electric Dust. It is a flawless execution of pure, Berlin-style techno, utilizing brilliant ebb-and-flow dynamics to build and release pressure.
DJ Dextro’s Figuras Rupestres then strips the genre back to its absolute basics. Much like the cave paintings its title references, the track is raw and primal, letting a 303 dominate the mid and bass frequencies while classic cymbals carry the groove.
Ever-L provides an exceptional DJ tool with Structural Damage, a robotic, minimal cut with an insistent percussive soul, while Steve Redhead closes out the record with our final favourite, Fenestra. It is a brooding, fast-paced closer filled with swelling synths that legitimately feels like being pulled through a sonic wormhole.
Crucially, Arkham Audio also makes plenty of room for experimentation. Herton’s Flute & Sahara sits in the leftfield camp, breaking up the standard techno architecture with quirky sound collages and a distinct Eastern flute motif.
J.Blofeld’s Araey serves as another unusual tension builder, dropping off-kilter, syncopated claps alongside tribal percussion and ghostly frequency wails.
Finally, PRSPCTV (aka XENTRIX) delivers two distinct mutations of Space Patrol. The 4x4 Edit is a deep, experimental cut that induces the genuine anxiety of being hotly pursued by an interplanetary sentinel, while the Break Edit is the real curveball, shattering the rhythm completely to catch the listener off guard—retaining that paranoid sense of pursuit, only this time it feels like you're trying to run on broken legs.
Releasing digitally on April 10th, 2026, this is far more than just a celebratory retrospective. Arkham Audio 6 Years Various is an essential, highly functional toolkit built for techno selectors. Get it on Bandcamp, preview here, or via the read online button at the top.
