Transmitees! Sixth time out, and this is the first Ignition Sequence where the tracks come from two people. TV HILL are a Baltimore duo, and they have split the list between them: three picks from dimneonsum, two from OG AG.

Their own new record is in here too. 'fffFacts' is out on their label, pressed on vinyl and nowhere else, which is how they put out everything. One of the five picks below is the same deal, no digital version anywhere, so the only way to hear it properly is to own it.

TV HILL is Brandon Riggs, who produces as dimneonsum, and Andrew Grant, better known as OG AG. Both work out of Baltimore.

Grant started a long way from home. In 2001, aged 24, he became Circoloco's first American resident in Ibiza, working up from a Thursday after-hours slot at DC10 to a Monday main set behind his mentor, Cirillo. He started two labels of his own in 2010, EDEC and Blau Motif.

The pair launched TV HILL Records in 2024 with 'Whats Up Everybody', and 'Welcome Home' and 'Grin and Bare It' followed. Every one has been a limited vinyl-only pressing, and their DJ sets are vinyl-only as well, played up and down the East Coast.

OG AG: "His live sets are deep and inviting, and this one has a vocal that wraps you like a blanket."

Amal works out of Washington DC, where he runs Hochi Runs and makes up a third of Black Rave Culture. His own Bandcamp puts originals next to club edits of PinkPantheress and Black Kray, and 'sneaky link' sits in there on its own.

OG AG: "Amal is one third of BRC and moves across juke, house and hip hop. This cut works as a bridge into a full sound, with bouncy, groovy rhythms."

dimneonsum takes the last three, starting with the one you cannot stream. 'Mind Designer' is on the 'Trouser In The Heat EP', out in 2024 on thisisnegentropy, the vinyl-only imprint run by the French producer Brawther. DOTT is one of the three founders of More Rice, the Bangkok label and record shop, and he has been at the front of that city's scene for a decade.

dimneonsum: "This one sounds like I went digging through somebody's record archive from the early rave days. Raw chopped-up drum loops, the epitome of nineties warehouse rave. I like to throw some dub-style scratching over top of it, just to let the room know this isn't going to be an ordinary set."

'Kuru' comes off 'Animist', which the German producer Vril released in 2023 on Delsin. It was his third album for the Dutch label, twelve tracks across three records, following albums there in 2015 and 2017.

dimneonsum: "This track literally always works. There's a phonetic percussive synth running underneath, then this wonky bassline comes in that shouldn't match the style but fills the whole room.

As it progresses, Vril takes that percussive plucking and pans it all over the stereo field, and people just get lost. You can see it in their eyes. From here I can go harder into techno, or take it deeper, more soulful."

The number one is a fellow Baltimorean, and a heavyweight. Karizma, who also records as Kaytronik, came up through the Basement Boys, the Baltimore production house he joined alongside DJ Spen after early records on Unruly, and Pete Tong put him in the BBC Radio 1 Hall of Fame in 2014. 'Tech This Out Pt. 2' went out on R2 Records in 2020, paired up with 'The Damn Thing'.

dimneonsum: "A fellow Baltimore artist. I started playing this when I was throwing a party in the city with Patrick Turner back in 2009. Karizma would come out to play from time to time. That's when I really got into his sound, broken, chopped-up, Baltimore club style breaks, but in more of a house format.

The track has these swung J Dilla style hi-hats over this organ sound. It's got multiple crescendo-style moments, so the room keeps getting lifted. It's another one I can transition into anything from. I really feel like I'm representing our city when I play it, even if people aren't aware of that, haha."
