Robot Electronique self-releaseds their two-track Want ur Body, Need ur Love double header on June 21st 2026; two productions that will appeal directly to fans of the Italo and acid house sounds in equal measure, as the single straddles both genres.

Not much is known about the enigmatic artist, although Robot Electronique’s Bandcamp page tells us they have been producing music since at least 2021, in this particular guise. Who knows; there may be more aliases!

The A-side is our title track. Want ur Body, Need ur Love is an ode to the Italo sound; loaded with soaring synths, this is a track that adopts a wonderfully acidic bent alongside a solid 4/4 perc pattern and repeating robotic vocal. Kinda reminds me of Jex Opolis’ What Am I Gonna Do?

On the flip we’ve got the altogether more technofied Body Down. The Italo sensibilities remain, but the track notches the tempo up to sweaty dancefloor status, and this time the acid takes centre stage for an exhilarating trip.
