Perc Trax has been running a single track series, and Nostalgia joins it as Shaun Moses' first appearance on the label. He arrives with a decent run behind him: Siolim Suspense, named after the Goan village, came out on Paul Ritch's Quartz Rec last year with a Cravo remix attached, and picked up plays from Ben Klock, Chris Liebing and Perc himself.

He also shares a Molecular Recordings credit with Edgar de Ramon for Lovermut, and has a Techno Wereld podcast to his name. He is the second Indian producer on Perc Trax in recent months, following Arjun Vagale.

Moses is predominantly known for his brand of dark, driving techno. Nostalgia exemplifies that sound, serving up propulsive, powerful percussion that places the track perfectly in peak time territory. A brooding, insistent bassline and 313-inspired synth complete the track.

Not only does Nostalgia represent Moses’s style faithfully, but it more widely representative of the exciting techno scene that brings similar artists such as Vagale and dotdat, and which is bringing the Indian techno sound to the main stage.

This is the quality of music coming out of India right now; mujhe aur chahiye.
