What happens when a Leicester-based Burial-esque dubstep producer and a Cleveland-based Coki-esque 140 producer bump heads? To find out the answer, you should be checking out the latest collab from SaintBySix and Serenemoon, who have just dropped their latest ambient dubstep double header, The Shape of Nothing.
SaintBySix is based in the UK, and describes his own sound as dark dubstep and future garage. Serenemoon is ouuta the US, and brings with him a more ambient take on the 140 sound. The aim of the project being to see how these two sounds converge. Listen for yourself, the results are exceptional.
The twin-pack draws its influences from the themes of absence, memory, and the void associated with disappearance; very much along that hauntological vibe Burial and artists of that ilk are proponents of. If atmospheric future garage vibes are your jam, then this needs to be right in your rotation pronto.
