Modeca was last out in December with the Eyes On You EP on META MOTO, the London label run by Osvaldas that has spent years pulling coldwave, EBM, industrial, and new beat from a properly international roster; Poladroïd out of Belgium, Paris's Forbidden Desires, yutani from Yerevan, and plenty more besides.
OMERTA Records works much the same ground, though it splits the labour four ways: Gal runs the label, Ruksby curates, K.A.T.A. and V.D.M. handle A&R, and Snarexx masters everything that goes out. If EBM-leaning techno is your jam, then the hard edged slo-mo churn of Complex Analysis should really get your juices flowing. Modeca is well known for tracks that sit on the chuggier side of electronic music, and this track is a perfect example of his heaving, sweaty production style.
It might be on the lower end of the BPM spectrum (Weatherall fans take note), but that doesn’t mean it lacks attitude. Fuck, this track flips the bird and holds it right in front of your alarmed little face for its entire playthrough. Bone-grinding, hard electronics. Yours first…
