If there is one thing Brizzle is known for, in an electronic music context, it is the sheer size of its thriving bass scene. This has been the case for decades, and the West Country’s latest big deal comes in the form of Miss Medik.

Hannah Cross, the daughter of a piano and singing teacher, is classically trained, which lends itself perfectly to her style of drum and bass, which she describes as being orchestral. Soaring strings are the order of the day, alongside silky breakbeats of course.

Her latest effort is a laid back liquid vibe, produced alongside Drumma on the Inside DnB imprint, featuring Cross’ signature classical elements, with lilting piano motifs sitting alongside string swells and jazzy horn stabs. Lovely stuff.
