Luis Miranda was born in Madrid and trained as a classical pianist at the Madrid Royal Conservatory. He started DJing at 15. London and Singapore came later, and he now works out of Los Angeles, fitting the records around a day job in marketing.
The label list behind him runs long: Tronic, Kneaded Pains, KD Raw and Modular States among them, with Soma, Truncate, Illegal Alien and Planet Rhythm all added this year. He has also had a record out through Heist Mode, the Toronto label run by Barbosa.
'Santa Paciencia' is five tracks of techno and it came out on 10 July. Three of those are his, and Son Of Magnus and Mr Coalman take a remix each. VANTEK is based in Vancouver and runs warehouse nights in the city as well as the label, and Miranda has played one.
