Kev D is Kevin Daw, a Somerset DJ who was already mixing at 17, back in the late nineties, and started producing in 2008. He is a regular contributor to Mark Neenan’s Filth Infatuated, the crew behind years of techno nights across the south west, and a dozen releases on their Filth Infatuated Digital label carry his name. He and Neenan also work as a duo under the Naked Van Mirk name.

Keep On Techno was founded in 2008 by Wyrus, Fer BR and Dastin, with a remit that takes in hardgroove, tribal, funky and electro under the one techno banner. 'Double Zero EP' is KOT208, three techno tracks, and it is Kev D's first appearance on the label since 'Bandwidth', catalogue number KOT071X, in 2014. The 137 releases in between give you a fair idea of the label's pace.

Beyond those two labels, his discography runs through BEK, Sub Cult, Vezotonik, LW Recordings and Perennial Recording Network. Hardgroove is what he plays, the same style Ben Sims named a whole label after, and one we have dug into before with Trunkline's 'Hex EP' on Hardgroove. As for where it all started, he credits Leftfield, The Prodigy and a pile of rave tapes.
