JSDS is a duo working out of Tarragona: DJego Silber, who launched Señorita Records back in 2021, and Jesse Skeens, who runs Medway Studios in London.

Silber's route into house was a long one. He played bass in a funk band at the start of the nineties, went through cover bands after that, and then had other artists take his songs into the charts. The DJing started in Hong Kong, where he lived for a decade and opened his first label, and most of his club years were spent across Asia.

Señorita was the first electronic music label in Tarragona, and it runs two strands, a White Edition for house and dance music and a Black Edition for club and techno records. "We put the decibels in your heart" is the line on its own website.

Skeens brings a heavier CV than the job title suggests. He records as Medway, started making records in 1989 and came up through the house scene of the early nineties, engineering for other DJs before he signed to Hooj Choons. He has remixed UNKLE and Oliver Lieb, and 'The Bassline Track' is his. Medway Studios has been his mastering room in east London since 2006.

JSDS made their debut with 'Soldier of Groove' in February 2025 and followed it with 'Adam' that November. 'It's All You' is the new one, a deep house single, and the pair are writing together for a club and festival tour in India as well. Silber, asked about the back catalogue, keeps it short: "the most important song for me is always the next song."
