Jackfruit Recordings celebrated its eighth year in 2025, quietly accumulating an impressive catalogue of feel-good house music that has found its way into the record bags of Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, and plenty more besides. It remains one of Berlin's most lovingly curated independent house imprints; a label with a clear identity and absolutely zero interest in chasing trends.
He returns now with Another Excess; a further excursion into that same infectiously groovy territory. A suitably bouncy bassline locks in alongside ravey stabs and a "give it up ya'll" vocal sample that could coax a smile out of a brick wall.
The mid-point drop then seals the deal; peak-time house music at its most gleefully irresistible. From here the track sustains an energetic house sensibility that undeniably characterises our producer’s sound.
