Computer Controlled Records has been running out of Belfast since 2015, put together by people who wanted somewhere for analogue machines and club records with the frills left off. The catalogue backs it up: DJ Overdose, Chris Moss Acid, Cignol, Naiborg, Norwell and Mark Forshaw have all been through, and acid, electro and hardware techno are the constants.

Atri is the newest name on that roster, an American electro producer with Dave Clarke among the DJs behind him and records already placed with Bass Agenda. That is a serious pair of endorsements for somebody with this little history to point at.

Because the history really is short. His debut EP ‘Corrupted’ went out on Montreal’s Facecontrol Audio Industries in February 2026 with a Newmolic remix attached, and that is more or less the lot. ‘Pick It Up’ comes off the ‘Atri Acid’ EP, out on 4 September, and it lands here first.

‘Pick it Up’ is exactly the kind of ripcord electro we love to hear. Loads going on at the top end for a highly detailed listen, and a ruff-ass bass synth backing up the lower end freqs.

The percussion is great; hyperkinetic and frantic around the soundspace it shares with occasional vocodered snippets and some of the most metallic synth chatter we have heard this side of 2025. Definitely one for drawing a “well… this is DISGUSTING” face across your entire crowd.
