Artist: Eden Grey
Title: Timewarp
Label: Self released
Eden Grey is incredibly industrious when it comes to electronic music. Not only does she produce music prolifically, she also teaches people about it as Professor in Modern Artist Development and Entrepreneurship at University of Miami Frost School of Music, writes about it in multiple academic and prosumer publications, and organises a wide range of events around it too.
Busy.
Quite how she manages to carve out the time to produce incredible modular electronica is beyond us, but she does, and her latest LP Timewarp is a shining example of Grey’s dexterity as a producer.
The album covers a wide range of styles, from the gritty electro of opening track Undo Artificial, through the glistening trip-hop stylings of Seeing Space in the Finite, to the parting dark synthwave vibes of closing composition Night Tripper.
Get your copy on Bandcamp and check out the rest of Eden’s back cat while you’re a it. Stellar stuff.
