DJ Vibekiller works out of Graz, and they are one of the founders of Violendgroove, the vinyl only house and techno collective that programmes nights at postgarage in the city and has taken the name out to KAPU in Linz and further afield. They hold a residency at Loophole as well, and have been behind the decks for more than five years.
The studio side is on Bandcamp. ‘PROGRAM/LOAD’ is two tracks they built between 2021 and 2023 on analogue hardware and Ableton, and it went up in February 2025.
In their own words it is a dedication to “the raw energy of old-school techno”, vinyl and analogue hardware both, with sets “crafted to create a powerful connection between the booth and dance floor”.
Twenty seven records in this one, and the names in it stretch a long way. Skee Mask turns up twice, Marco Carola, Deetron, Dave Angel, Joel Mull, Alexander Kowalski, Forest Drive West and Hector Oaks are all in there, and Umek’s remix of Depeche Mode shows up in the back half. Another one for the vinyl end of the series, after lst.ss, whose own start was vinyl only. They take number twenty five.
