Claptone plays out in a golden plague-doctor mask and white gloves, and the act's Masquerade parties have held Ibiza residencies at Pacha, Amnesia and Chinois.

The breakthrough came with 'No Eyes', featuring JAW of dOP, before the album 'Charmer' arrived on Different Recordings in 2015, and a Claptone remix of Gregory Porter's 'Liquid Spirit' went on to top the Beatport chart.

Claptone is actually a Berlin duo, one that also runs the Golden Recordings label (even though you might think there’s only one of them, based on their solo live appearances).

The vocal comes from Kurtis Wells, a singer born in Trinidad and Tobago and based in Berlin, who also fronts ANOTR's '24 (Turn It Up)' on the Dutch duo's No Art label. MIRAMAR is a Californian DJ with records on Sweat It Out, and his bookings have taken in Splash House, Outside Lands, Burning Man and the after party for the first Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Funkshway is a Los Angeles house label set up by Avi Dahan, Alec Lykken and Tom Bender. 'Beautiful Times' comes as an extended mix and a radio edit, and it was a fixture of Claptone's summer sets, the Chinois residency included. Before the label, Dahan spent about seven years as a music lawyer, running the Dahan Law Group.
