Blyer is Daniel Metzger, and CULTeum in Karlsruhe has been booking him since 2014. In that time the club has put him on bills with Marusha, Johannes Heil, Kerstin Eden, SNTS and Anna Reusch, and his set there from February 2024 is up on his SoundCloud in full, just shy of two hours of it.

His own label, sub tec, was already putting out ‘A Dark Old Place Around Me’ in 2019, and the video for ‘The Village’ later that year was shot at Nature One’s camping village. The run has carried on since, with the ten track ‘Submission’ album in May 2026, and there was a five track EP for Heimatliebe in February 2026 as well.
